Kitty Kitty Falls Trip

In November 2011 I visited the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park (near Piha), New Zealand. The drive is probably 40-50 minutes outside (and West) of Auckland. On the way to Piha beach you’ll see a secluded, unmarked parking lot on your left- hand side (officially called the “Buck Taylor Carpark”). Park there and make sure you have a wet-suit and good water shoes! It’s about a 40 min hike from the parking lot to the start of the Kitty-Kitty Falls. Hike start to hike end I think this trek took our group around 4.5 hours.
